Nose Augmentation(Augmentation Rhinoplasty)
Nose Augmentation is a cosmetic surgical procedure for those who want a higher nasal bridge. This procedure uses cartilage, bone or a Dorsal Nasal Implant for Nose Enlargement, to improve facial proportions and enhance your self-confidence. Augmentation Rhinoplasty is often performed in conjunction with other Rhinoplasty (nasal surgery) procedures, to help balance the nose with other facial features, and create more harmonious proportions.
Rhinoplasty Procedure
Closed procedure:In closed procedure incisions are hidden inside the nose Open procedure: In this procedure incisions are made across the columella, the narrow strip of tissue that separates the nostrils. Through these incisions, skin of the Nose is separated from its supporting framework of bone and cartilage, which is then sculpted to the desired shape. Deviated nasal septum can be corrected by straightening the septum and the projections inside the nose is reduced to improve breathing. Once the underlying structure of the nose is sculpted to the desired shape, nasal skin and tissue is redraped and incisions are closed.

After the surgery patients may be requested to wear a nasal splint over their nose for support for about 7 days. Nostrils are packed with dressing for 1-2 days if septum is corrected.
Patients are advised not to blow their nose for a week after the surgery, for fast and effective healing.
All stitches, dressings and splints are off after 7 days and one can resume normal light activities. Postoperative swelling may take several months to subside and patiensts are advised to take the medications as prescribed for quicker healing.
